Coldwell Solar Brings Holiday Cheer with Food Drive for Tulare County’s FoodLink

Events to be held county-wide to feed the hungry during the holidays

(Tulare, CA – November 14, 2017) – Coldwell Solar, the leading agricultural solar company in California, announced its sponsorship of the 2017 FoodLink Community Food Drive. The drive supports efforts to collect food on six different days in November.

“The Visalia Times-Delta reported that there are 65,000 people in Tulare County who don’t know where their next meal will come from,” said Sean Hood, President of Coldwell Solar. “These are our neighbors and we consider it a privilege to help.”

Each year the drive collects approximately 50,000 pounds of food that FoodLink in turn delivers to hungry Tulare County families.

Collections will be held from 6:00 am to 5:00 pm on November 19, 20, and 21 at the SaveMart in the Key West Shopping Center, 5201 W Goshen Ave, Visalia. In addition to collecting food, co-sponsor Momentum Broadcasting will provide entertainment and live broadcasts by radio stations MY 97.5, 99.7 K100 Classic Rock, HITZ 104.9, and 106.7 KJUG Country.

In addition to sponsoring the food drive, Coldwell Solar employees will be collecting food at the company’s Tulare office (4500 S. Laspina St. #224) and delivering it to the event on November 21st.

FoodLink of Tulare County is dedicated to bringing food and nutritional equity to all residents of Tulare County. The agency distributes millions of healthy meals every year, and is on the forefront of new approaches to ending hunger and poverty through nutrition education and food system change.
